Conférence de presse pour en finir avec la “guerre à la drogue” ASUD et le CIRC le lundi 9 mars à 17 h Paris

En 1998, réuni en session extraordinaire à New York, l’ONU s’était donné dix ans pour éradiquer la production de plantes à drogues et réduire significativement l’offre et la demande des drogues illicites.

À l’heure du bilan, en 2008, une évidence s’impose : « la guerre à la drogue » est un échec cuisant.


Le 11 et 12 mars 2009 à Vienne, en présence de l’ensemble des autorités concernées sur le plan international, l’ONU tiendra une assemblée dont l’objectif est de définir une nouvelle politique pour les dix années à venir.

Une coordination d’associations européennes (cf. communiqué de presse), dont ASUD et le CIRC, ont décidé de participer le 11 mars à un rassemblement pacifique devant le bâtiment de l’ONU.

Nous demandons que cesse cette politique répressive et stigmatisante pour les usagers. Nous souhaitons pour les drogues une politique plus pragmatique qui privilégie la réduction des risques plutôt qu’une répression aveugle et contre productive.

Pour que cette assemblée qui doit se prononcer sur la future politique des drogues ne soit pas occultée. Pour que soient relayées les actions des militants européens se battant pour une réforme des traités internationaux, ASUD et le CIRC vous convient à une conférence de presse le lundi 9 mars à 17 heures dans les locaux de l’association ASUD.
