Twenty years ago Rototom started its campaign to stop the War On Drug, pushing for a paradigm change in the European and global drug policies. This constant commitment to defend the cannabis consumers that are being persecuted all over the world, is ever stronger this year, thanks to the collaboration with the most relevant organizations that work on these topics, the Global Commission on Drug Policy, Beckley Foundation and Encod, to name a few.
In line with this global battle that Rototom has taken on, and emerging from the ever more accepted idea of the failure of the War On Drug and from the debate on the economical potential of cannabis durinng the crisis, we will host the debate “Cannabis Legal Regulation, a solution to (more than one) global crisis”.
With the participation of Amanda Feilding – founder of Beckley Foundation – of Rebeca Lerer – pr for Global Commission – of Joep Oomen -coordinator for Encod – and of Bernat Pellisa – mayor of Rasquera, who became known internationally for his intention to plant a massive field of cannabis for recreational purposes in the Catalan town. The debate will take place in the Social Forum on Wednesday, August 22nd.
It is a great pleasure to confirm the presence of the Energy Control collective once again, on the first 3 days of festival: from Thursday 16th to Saturday 18th the tireless operators and researchers of the Catalan NGO will be found at their stand, which will offer their free services of analysis of substances, information and tips to reduce risks connected to consumption.
