El “Cannabis Social Club” de Amberes instala una nueva plantación colectiva

La asociación de productores y consumidores de cannabis Trekt Uw Plant (Haz Tu Planta) establecerá en las próximas semanas, en algún lugar de Bélgica, una plantación de cannabis basada en el principio 1 planta por persona. Todos los que se adhieren a la asociación pueden recibir su planta antes del 1 de noviembre de 2009, bajo la condición de que cumplen con los requísitos: ser adulto, vivir en Bélgica y consumir cannabis.

Desde 2005, existe una directiva ministerial en Bélgica, según la que la posesión de max. 3 gramos de cannabis o 1 planta feminina es una ofensa que no se persigue. El 12 de diciembre de 2006 Trekt Uw Plant presentó su primera plantación de cannabis colectiva, consistiendo de 1 planta madre y 5 esquejes. Esta plantación fue confiscada y 4 de los socios involucrados fueron detenidos pocas horas después.

En mayo de 2007 estos socios fueron condenados por la corte local de Amberes a una multa de 15 euros. Más que un año después, en junio de 2008, la Corte de Apelo los absolvió, puesto que consideró que la acción fue una ofensa y no un crimen. Una ofensa que, como establece la directiva ministerial de 2005, solamente pudo haber sido sancionada por una simple registración (una llamada VPV, Vereenvoudigd Proces Verbaal).

De esta sentencia, Trekt Uw Plant concluye que el establecimiento de una plantación colectiva está de acuerdo con la intención de la directiva ministerial: dejando de perseguir a la posesión y el cultivo del cannabis para el consumo personal, el aparato policial y judicial pueden utilizar sus recursos para combati la criminalidad organizada, y la política con respecto al consumo de cannabis puede enfocar la salud pública.

El objetivo de Trekt Uw Plant es, de acuerdo a los estatutos de la asociación, facilitar a sus socios a cultivar colectivamente 1 planta de cannabis por persona. En los últimos años, la Fiscalía ha solicitados la disolución de la asociación dos veces. Ambas veces, la corte se ha negado a hacerlo.

Cultivando plantas para el consumo personal de sus socios, Trekt Uw Plant crea una sana alternativa al mercado ilegal, y para el llamado “turismo de drogas” a los coffeeshops en Holanda. La asociación emplea métodos de cultivo ecológicos, sin riesgo alguno para la adulteración o la contaminación de la sustancia, tal como ocurre en el mercado negro. Contrario al negocio ilegal, Trekt Uw Plant no es accesible a los menores.

Todos que se adhieren a Trekt Uw Plant el 9 de mayo de 2009 al más tardar, durante la Marcha Mondial de Marijuana en Amberes, (ver el formulario de membrecía) puede recibir su planta antes del 1 de noviembre de 2009, bajo condición de que puede probar que vive en Bélgica, es mayor de edad y consume cannabis.
