México sufre tres guerras simultáneas por las acciones del narcotráfico

El país sufre el enfrentamiento entre cárteles rivales, la lucha entre autoridades y grupos criminales y la corrupción del poder


México. (EFE).- México es escenario de tres guerras simultáneas derivadas de las acciones del narcotráfico que tienen vínculos muy estrechos “y se condicionan mutuamente”, de acuerdo con un estudio sobre seguridad y defensa presentado hoy en esta capital.

Una de las tres guerras es la que enfrenta a cárteles rivales, otra la de las autoridades contra los grupos criminales y, finalmente, “la lucha del Estado contra sí mismo” por la corrupción y la penetración del crimen organizado en las esferas del poder.

La conclusión está recogida en el Atlas de la Seguridad y la Defensa de México 2012 presentado esta noche en esta capital, que incluye estudios de fondo sobre distintos temas y un detallado anexo estadístico.

“Bajo cualquier criterio, estamos ante una emergencia nacional y una amenaza para la seguridad nacional”, afirmó el académico y comentarista Sergio Aguayo, uno de los editores de la obra, en la presentación del Atlas.

Ante académicos, políticos y altos funcionarios, Aguayo agregó que, aparte de sus problemas internos, la situación geográfica de México hace que sufra un “flujo que nunca se detiene” de drogas y migrantes desde el sur, y armas desde el norte.

La segunda edición del este estudio, que es continuación del presentado en 2009, incluye 14 análisis de diferentes temáticas, desde el comercio mundial de metanfetaminas, el tráfico de armas, la corrupción o la influencia de los cárteles mexicanos en Centroamérica.

Se complementa con un detallado anexo estadístico con información de múltiples áreas, lo que le convierte, según sus autores, en el “mayor esfuerzo estadístico en materia de seguridad y defensa” en México, un país con grandes carencias de información oficial.

En los últimos seis años, cerca de 70.000 personas han muerto en México a causa de las acciones ligadas al narcotráfico y otros grupos del crimen organizado, pero no hay detalles sobre cómo se desglosa esa cifra oficial.

Según medios de comunicación sólo en 2012 hubo unas 12.000 personas que murieron por esas acciones, en muchos casos víctimas de choques entre distintos cárteles de la droga.

El Atlas de la Seguridad y la Defensa está elaborado por el Colectivo de Análisis de la Seguridad con Democracia (CASEDE), creado en 2006.
