L’Aja, 3 dicembre 2008 – Ieri il Tribunale olandese della cannabis all’Aja è terminato con la conclusione finale che un divieto della cannabis ha in effetti più svantaggi che vantaggi. I rappresentati del Partito Democratico Cristiano Cannabis (CDA) sono stati incapaci a convincere del contrario un giudice indipendente . Da parte degli organizzatori, il portavoce, Joep Oomen, ha lanciato un appello ai membri del Parlamento Olandese di chiedere al governo di abolire questa proibizione prima possibile.

Una soma di 200.000 euro era stata offerta al partito politico che sarebbe stato in grado di convincere una corte indipendente degli effetti positive di un divieto della cannanbis.

Gli organizzatori hanno avuto difficoltà a trovare delle persone favorevoli al divieto.. Oomen: “Non esiste un medico nei Paesi bassi che voglia sostenere che la cannabis é un importante pericolo pubblico per la salute e che un divieto abbia un qualche effetto positivo.”

Tra tutti i partiti politici , solo la CDA voleva accettare la sfida.Sia il sindaco Leonard Geluk di Rotterdam come il deputato Cisca Joldersma hanno proposto di limitare ulteriormente il numero dei coffee shop
L’esperto e filosofo del diritto Hendrik Kaptein, presidente della Corte che era stata creata per questo scopo, demoliva la difesa dei Democratico-Cristiani. Di fronte ad una platea di scienziati, ex poliziotti, proprietari coffee shop ed attivisti della cannabis lui definiva i loro argomenti ‘fallaci’ and ‘assolutamente non validi’.

La Cote non poteva trovare alcun argomento contro la richiesta di legalizzazione del mercato della cannabis proposta da Hans van Duijn, ex presidente della Associazione della Polizia Olandese e a membro di LEAP (Agenti di polizia contro il proibizionismo).Secondo Van Duijn, la CDA ­ grazie al permanere del divieto della cannabis- è responsabile del 50% della criminalità nei Paesi bassi, ed ogni anno, un bilione e mezzo di denaro per le tasse è sprecato in una inutile guerra alle droghe. Nessun tentativo di contraddire ogni argomento fu fatta da Joldersma.
