Campagna Mondiale: la Cannabis per Scopi Terapeutici è un Diritto Umano

Un consorzio internazionale di organizzazioni di cannabis medica chiedono che gli esseri umani, indipendentemente dallo stato o dall’ideologia e senza qualificazione, siano in grado di usufruire della cannabis a scopo terapeutico. In una dichiarazione congiunta, le organizzazioni provenienti da Europa e Nord America si riferiscono all’articolo 3 della Dichiarazione dei Diritti dell’Uomo adottata dalle Nazioni Unite nel 1948. La dichiarazione è l’inizio di una campagna mondiale per l’uso della cannabis per scopi terapeutici.

La dichiarazione è stata pubblicata in sei lingue su un sito web dedicato (www.medical-cannabis-declaration.org) e dichiara: “Ogni medico ha il diritto di trattare i suoi pazienti con cannabinoidi e prodotti di cannabis secondo le regole di una buona assistenza medica” e “ogni paziente ha il diritto di accedere a cannabis e cannabinoidi per il trattamento terapeutico sotto la supervisione di un medico, indipendentemente dallo stato sociale, standard di vita o mezzi finanziari”.

“La dichiarazione si basa su prove scientifiche schiaccianti. Ci vuole una forte presa di posizione contro i pregiudizi e le falsità dei legislatori, altri attori politici ed “esperti” con limitate conoscenze mediche sulla questione”, spiega Franjo Grotenhermen, medico e Direttore Esecutivo dell’International Association for Cannabinoid Medicines (Germania).

L’obiettivo della dichiarazione è generare sostegno a livello mondiale e permettere alle organizzazioni di tutto il mondo di adottare una posizione più definitiva. “La dichiarazione congiunta e il sito Web relativo formano il nucleo di un movimento mondiale per quanto riguarda il diritto umano di utilizzare la cannabis per scopi terapeutici”, aggiunge Al Byrne dell’associazione Patients Out of Time (USA). La dichiarazione è il prodotto di esperti qualificati provenienti da diversi paesi che stanno lavorando per contrastare le forze contrarie alla cannabis.

La cannabis ha stabilito il proprio uso medico nel corso della storia del mondo e, insieme con la recente scoperta del ruolo del sistema cannabinoide endogeno nel corpo umano, deve essere messa a disposizione di tutti i cittadini di ogni paese. I creatori della dichiarazione l’hanno progettata col fine di permettere e incoraggiare sia le organizzazioni che gli individui ad unirsi fra loro con la firma del documento, a sostegno del comune obiettivo di creare una campagna mondiale per porre fine all’illegittimo divieto di utilizzare la cannabis per scopi terapeutici. Molti scienziati, medici e altri esperti del settore hanno già offerto il loro sostegno con l’aggiunta delle loro firme.
