Demo in Wien: STOP DEM WELTWEITEN KRIEG GEGEN DROGEN!

Warum demonstrieren, und warum jetzt?


Im Jahr 1998, trafen sich Vertreter der Regierungen bei der
Sondersitzung zum Thema Drogen (UNGASS) an der Generalversammlung der
Vereinten Nationen in New York. Die Sitzung war geprägt von dem Motto:
“Eine Welt ohne Drogen: Wir können es tun”. Nach 10 Jahren, sehen wir,
dass der globale Drogenkrieg sein Ziel nicht erreicht und eine Menge von
unbeabsichtigten Folgen verursacht: Massive Inhaftierung von Personen,
die Ausbreitung von HIV / AIDS und Überdosierungen, gewalttätige
Kriminalität und Korruption, humanitäre Krisen in den Erzeugerländern.
“High-level”-Regierungsdelegierte werden am 11-12 März in Wien, über
die letzten 10 Jahre und eine neue politische Erklärung zu Drogen beraten.

Dies ist die richtige Zeit, dass unsere Stimmen gehört werden, laut und
deutlich
: wir wollen Veränderungen in der internationalen Drogenpolitik
und die Respektierung der Menschenrechte sowie Schadensminimierung in
den Fokus einbringen, statt Kriminalisierung und Vernichtung!

Alle, die mit unseren Forderungen übereinstimmen, sind willkommen!

Ort: Muhammad Asad Platz in Wien (in der Nähe der U-Bahn-Station
Kaisermühlen VIC und des Eingang des Vienna International Centre)

Ab 8:00 – Besammlung am Eingang des Vienna International Centre

Anlagen: Käfig mit Drogenkonsumenten – zur Repräsentation der
Menschen, die wegen Drogenkonsum inhaftiert sind, Tanks mit Urinproben –
als Symbol für das Eindringen der Regierungen in unsere Privatsphäre

Ausstellung von Plakaten, über die “unbeabsichtigten” Folgen des Krieg
gegen Drogenbenutzter. Poster Wettbewerb

11:00 – Open-Air-Pressekonferenz
