Itália: Ativistas aguardam julgamento por “tolerância ao consumo de drogas”

59 ativistas italianos aguardam julgamento por, durante 10 anos, terem organizado passeatas e manifestações por mudanças nas políticas e leis sobre drogas. O julgamento será no dia 24 de julho e o processo promete se prolongar por muito tempo, como estratégia para desarticular o movimento antiproibicionista italiano. Se condenados, os ativistas podem pegar até 4 anos de prisão e uma multa de alto valor, pelo crime de “organizar eventos onde há tolerância ao uso de drogas”.

Hoje decidimos produzir um artigo especial, baseado a carta de Enrico Fletzer, que relata a informação de que, no próximo dia 24 de julho, Rosario Picciolo e mais 58 ativistas, incluindo Maria pia Scarciglia, advogada do grupo, irão a julgamento pelos crimes de “organizar eventos onde há tolerância ao uso de drogas”.

Na Itália, tal acusação tem sido usada para criminalizar movimentos sociais que lutam por reformas nas políticas e leis sobre a maconha e outras drogas. Na prática, os eventos que eles estão sendo acusados de promover são passeatas antiproibicionistas e por reformas nas políticas e leis sobre drogas.

O grupo organiza manifestações há 10 anos, mas os problemas judiciais se inciaram em 2007, após a promoção do evento denominado “Zona Temporaneamente Liberata”ou “Zona Autônoma Temporária”, que dispensa traduções. Nessa ocasião, 5.000 pessoas foram as ruas para manifestar publicamente suas opiniões sobre o tema e mostrar a cultura do consumo para a sociedade em geral. Esse conceito é baseado nos trabalhos do ativista e anarquista Hakim Bey.

O caso nos interessa e acompanharemos de perto, na medida do possível, pois é uma criminalização do mesmo tipo que os indivíduos e instituições que organizam as Marchas da Maconha no Brasil estão sofrendo. Eles podem pegar sentenças de mais de 4 anos de prisão e uma grande multa, numa jornada política e judicial que promete se prolongar por muito tempo, visando desmantelar o movimento antiproibicionista italiano. Segundo Enrico, essa iniciativa é liderada pelo prefeito Sergio Cofferati e por juizes ligados ao Partido Democrata.

Precedentes da Repressão na Itália

Essa não é a primeira vez que o Governo Italiano atua contra militantes. No primeiro semestre de 2007 sites e blogs foram fechados por ordem judicial e em novembro, o ativista Aldo Bianzino morreu em condições violentas e misteriosas, após ser detido e conduzido à uma delegacia por cultivar plantas de maconha. A militância de Aldo baseava-se em cultivar Cannabis e pesquisar em seu sítio suas propriedades medicinais produzindo remédios e óleos caseiros à base de extratos de partes não-psicoativas e psicoativas da planta. Apesar de nunca ter havido provas de que ele vendia maconha, Aldo foi brutalmente assassinado sem direito a julgamento simplesmente por cultivar plantas de maconha e divulgar as propriedades medicinais da erva.
