LOS COFFEESHOPS NEERLANDESES SERÁN PATRIMONIO DE LA HUMANIDAD

Los Coffeeshops tienen un valor incalculable en las discusiones internacionales sobre tolerancia

LA HAYA – “El Patrimonio de la Humanidad es un patrimonio cultural que se considera insustituible, único, propiedad del mundo entero y cuyo mantenimiento se considera de vital importancia.” Toma la palabra el Sindicato de Consumidores de Cannabis WeSmoke. “Por eso opinamos que el excepcional coffeeshop neerlandés, eje de la política tolerante hacia el cannabis de la que se discute en el mundo desde hace décadas, debería estar en la lista de Patrimonio de la Humanidad de la UNESCO. Ahora mismo estamos haciendo todo lo posible por conseguirlo.”

Ya desde hace décadas pero sobre todo en los últimos años el extranjero ve con una mirada más abierta el modelo de política tolerante neerlandés. Poco a poco “el ejemplo holandés” se sigue en el resto de Europa y América. Y todo esto mientras en el famoso país modélico, se pretende romper con la política de tolerancia.

La asociación WeSmoke no puede dar crédito a lo que está pasando. “El mundo entero está de acuerdo en que la tolerancia neerlandesa funciona mejor que la criminalización de la cultura del cannabis. En interés social de casi todo el mundo occidental nos parece esencial que se proteja el fenómeno del Coffeeshop neerlandés. ¿Cómo se puede hablar de algo que ya no existe?”

Patrimonio de la humanidad

“No puede ser que por culpa de un clima político cambiante se haga desaparecer un ramo de la industria que explora de forma correcta y progresista la mejor política de cannabis del mundo mientras que en la esfera internacional se pide a gritos que se siga este modelo”, opina WeSmoke.

“Se ha demostrado que gracias al coffeeshop neerlandés hay menos drogodependencia, más aplicaciones médicas, menos actividades criminales y más aceptación social del cannabis. Si la política neerlandesa no ve esto, esperamos que la UNESCO se atreva a mantener los coffeeshops. Que el coffeeshop neerlandés sea Patrimonio de la Humanidad, ¡se lo merece!”

Apoyo político

No es que no haya un soporte político que apoye esta iniciativa. WeSmoke está hablando con varios (ex) políticos y ciudadanos destacados para estudiar seriamente cómo se puede llevar esto a cabo. “Desde donde menos te lo esperas nos llega apoyo para esta idea”. Como por ejemplo, la Asociación de Política de Drogas en los Países Bajos pero también en el extranjero hay cada vez más muestras de apoyo hacia la cultura neerlandesa del cannabis.

“Seguiremos luchando. Si se consigue que el coffeeshop se considere Patrimonio de la Humanidad, será una buena señal social sobre la ventaja de tolerar las drogas blandas con una iniciativa correcta empresarial. No se nos ocurre otra forma mejor de valorar la política de tolerancia que ahora mismo está sufriendo un duro ataque.
