An expert panel was held in the European Parliament organized by Michał Boni MEP, Maltese Presidency of the Council of the European Union and the Polish Drug Policy Network on “Public safety and public health – municipal drug policies in the Member States”. Representatives of groups working “in the trenches” were invited to listen to panels and share their thoughts and questions.
A group of academics in Spain, presented in Madrid today a proposal to regulate Cannabis nationwide.
Un grupo de académicos en España han presentado en Madrid hoy una propuesta para regular el Cannabis en dicho Estado.

Un panel de expertos celebró en el Parlamento Europeo, organizado por Michał Boni, diputada del Parlamento Europeo, la presidenta maltesa del Consejo de la Unión Europea y la Red Polaca de Política de Drogas sobre “Seguridad pública y salud pública – políticas municipales de drogas en los Estados miembros”. Los representantes de los grupos que trabajaban “en las trincheras” fueron invitados a escuchar los paneles y compartir sus pensamientos y preguntas.

Improvisation de dernière minute, le programme du 18 juin étant un peu chamboulé cette année, avec un rassemblement à Caen, pour le Ras’Art, où sont prévues trois journées de rencontres cannabiques.
A Paris, le traditionnel rassemblement sur les pelouses de la Villette s’est rebaptisé « 18 JOINTS », et appelle à une « manifestation sur l’herbe », de 15 heures à 22 heures, avec 18 joints à 18 heures !
Une journée de débats, avec un espace de parole permanent autour d’un micro et d’une sono.

It's more than 20 years ago today, the 18th of June 1993, that was held the first
international cannabis meeting, «Première journée internationale du cannabis», in Paris, France, at the Trianon, a nice old theater. Came tens of people from many countries. England, Belgium, Netherlands, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, USA, Germany and France… Those who were there remember how great it was to exchange information about the situations in their respective countries. And the greatest thing came after, in France, but also in Spain, in Switzerland, in Germany, countries where the cannabis movement was very weak at that time, and even in the USA, Netherlands or Italy, where strong cannabis struggle already existed, as everyone came back home with an incredible energy. We had discovered that cannabis is a worldwide issue, and that made us much stronger,
each one in his country.
12 de julio – Miles de personas se acercaron ayer, 11 de julio de 2017, a la novena edición de la Cannabis Liberation Day en Flevopark de Ámsterdam, un precioso espacio verde, para poder perderse entre humo de cannabis.
VOC Nederland (Unión por la abolición de la prohibición del cannabis, ONG neerlandesa), la entidad que organiza el evento, continúa difundiendo la cultura del cannabis. Para ello se puso a disposición de los usuarios una amplia gama de stands, entre los cuales encontramos tanto marcas comerciales de semillas de cannabis y vaporizadores, hasta entidades de prevención de riesgos o CSC de distintos puntos de Europa.
En el escenario, una pancarta de ENCOD con el lema “Libertad para Cultivar” presidió el escenario durante todo el día y acompañó a músicos, a ponentes y a la ceremonia de Highlife Cup. La jornada se amenizó con bandas de música y dj’s como Barry Par, Dj Skunkstar, The Dubbeez, etc.
A destacar, en su primer año, Cannabis University, un interesante espacio de charlas donde confluyeron diferentes opiniones sobre el cannabis, de un modo ordenado y pacífico, donde se mostraban diferentes propuestas para su abordaje desde las naciones europeas.
Uno de los principales protagonistas en esta edición fue, el ausente Joep Oomen, presente en una fotografía durante todo el evento cerca del escenario, al que se le hicieron varios recordatorios, un homenaje a su memoria, se regalaron semillas en su honor y varios de los ponentes le recordaron con algunas palabras, entre ellos Derrick Bergman y Martín Barriuso.
June 12 – Thousands of people approached the ninth edition of the Cannabis Liberation Day in Flevopark, Amsterdam, on 11th of June 2017, a beautiful green space to be lost amidst the aroma of cannabis.
VOC Nederland (Union for the Abolition of the Cannabis Prohibition, Dutch NGO), the organizer of the event, continues to spread the cannabis culture, for which a wide range of stands have been made available to users, commercial cannabis seeds and vaporizers, to risk prevention organizations or CSCs from different parts of Europe.
On the stage, a banner of ENCOD with the motto “Freedom to Farm” presided the stage throughout the day and accompanied musicians, speakers and the winner ceremony of Highlife Cup. The day was enlivened with bands and dj’s as Barry Par, Dj Skunkstar, The Dubbeez, etc.
For the first time at Cannabis Liberation Day, the Cannabis University was an interesting space for conferences – where different opinions on cannabis converged, in an orderly and peaceful manner, which showed the different proposals and approach from the various European nations.
One of the main protagonists in this edition was the absent Joep Oomen, present in a photograph throughout the event near the stage, which was made several reminders, a tribute to his memory, seeds were given in his honour and several speakers reminded him with some words, including Derrick Bergman and Martín Barriuso.
